Ocean freight is the most popular and cost-effective method for shipping various types of cargo throughout the world.
Depending upon the size of your shipment there are full container options such as 20′, 40′ & 40′ High Cube containers, with groupage and consolidation services available for smaller consignments.
Export Cargo
We can arrange for containers to be loaded with your cargo at your premises — or, if you do not have the facilities to load at your depot, we can collect the cargo and deliver it to our warehouse, where we perform the export loading for you. This includes a full export packing service: lashing, securing and skidding of your cargo to help in its safe transit, which may also be a requirement of your marine insurer’s conditions of carriage. Containers are officially sealed at the place of loading and the seal number conveyed to you and your buyer for checking on receipt.
Once your cargo has been loaded or delivered into our store for shipment, we handle all of the logistics involved in its safe delivery to your designated destination. We can offer shipment under any terms you require — Ex Works, CIF, FOB, FAS and more — along with a full documentation service: bills of lading, TIR, preference forms and export customs documents, all handled by our freight team and forwarded to you for approval.
Import Cargo
We offer a full range of services in the handling of all types of cargo from any part of the world for shipment into the UK, or to any destination outside the UK or Europe — both full containers and part-load consignments.
Ex Works: we arrange collection of your cargo from your shipper’s premises at origin, either in containers or as break bulk, deliver it to the nearest port and perform all logistics involved in its safe delivery to its ultimate destination.
FOB: where your shipper arranges delivery to the port of export, we take responsibility from receipt of cargo onto the export vessel through to its ultimate destination.
We can also arrange shipments under other terms such as CIF and FAS as you may require.
Border Enforcement Agencies — We Handle the Red Tape
There are many government enforcement teams at UK ports, such as Customs & Excise, Port Health, DEFRA (Forestry and certain food products), X-ray and task force teams. We deal with them all on your behalf.
